Caleb Hoffman is a student in the SyRRA lab pursuing his PhD in Reliability Engineering. He graduated with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2024. During his undergraduate studies, Caleb was a part of the Gemstone Honors program, where he and his team researched fusion-powered upgrades to space exploration. Prior to returning to the University of Maryland for graduate studies, Caleb worked as a Sourcing Project Engineer at ST Engineering – MRAS, where he combined business and engineering skills to support procurement projects in commercial aerospace. Before joining ST Engineering – MRAS full-time, he was a Project Engineering Intern in 2023.
While a researcher at the SyRRA lab, Caleb seeks to develop risk-informed guidelines for siting hydrogen electrolyzers at nuclear power plants.
